Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons as a tight-end in the National Football League. Gonzalez is regarded as among the greatest tight ends to ever play. Additionally, he was the league's top receiver for yards, and the third place in total receptions, Gonzalez also was among the NFL tight end who had the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez serves as a FOX sports studio analyst. Since the start of the 2017 NFL season, Gonzalez has been a fixture on FOX NFL KICKOFF, the FOX's one-hour NFL pregame show that airs prior to FOX NFL Sunday. It airs every Sunday at 11:15 AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract for the Falcons to run for two seasons and $11 million on the 15th of March 2013. This was despite the fact that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire at the end of 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the league's top player of receiving yards in his final season.
